* Environmental Education Committee

The Environmental Education Committee (EEC) includes government, nonprofit and educational organizations that are interested in promoting environmental education on the island of Guam. As a whole, the EEC supports numerous environmental education efforts on Guam by providing information, speakers or outreach materials.

This year, the EEC has created three focused groups. These groups are focusing on different subject areas.

The groups are:
  • Tano
  • Tasi
  • Hanom
Please see our calendar for next meeting dates and times. If you are interested in joining one of these groups, please contact us. The EEC's strategic plan will be available soon.
ECC's Mission
  • To instill environmental responsibility and pride
  • The perpetuation of Chamorro culture
  • To increase scientific and environmental literacy
  • Support activities and publications
  • To retie people with the environment
  • Provide facilitation between other groups
The EEC's has a vision for Guam. That vision is that Guam’s island community will be an educated and informed public who supports and actively participates in environmental stewardship resulting in thriving and resilient terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

Professor Kika Clearwater and her friends are the representatives of youth-focused Environmental Education on Guam
